About the center

The Youth Innovation Center is a space for learning and practical work in Damascus. It supports young people, student teams, and people with ideas in developing solutions to challenges facing communities, organizations, and businesses. Our work starts with understanding the problem, its context, and users' needs. We then guide teams through designing solutions and building, testing, and improving prototypes. The center brings together training, mentoring, workspaces, digital fabrication tools, and connections with experts and partners to help teams develop viable projects that create value for the people they serve.

A joint project

The Youth Innovation Center is a joint project of Molham Volunteering Team and Damascus Governorate.

Hands-on learning

Training and sessions that connect knowledge with practice, helping young people conduct research, understand users, and design solutions.

Prototyping and testing

Spaces and tools to build prototypes, test assumptions, and improve solutions based on what the experiments reveal.

Mentoring and networking

Guidance from trainers, mentors, and experts, and connections with organizations that help teams understand challenges and develop their projects.

Community impact

Focusing ideas on real problems and assessing the value of solutions for the people they serve and their potential for practical use.

How we work

We begin by identifying the problem, understanding its context, and getting to know the people and organizations that face it. We then help teams generate ideas for solutions, build prototypes, test them with users, and improve them based on feedback and results. We apply this approach across education, health, agriculture, the environment, media, services, and other sectors. Technology is one of the tools available; we choose the tools that fit the problem and the needs of the people the solution is intended to serve.

  1. 1

Understand the problem and its context

  2. 2

    Understand users

  3. 3
